Line-by-line type-X FBGs with high-temperature stability and low loss

This work presents a line-by-line method for producing Type-X fibre Bragg gratings with Type-I like modification profiles and Type-II like thermal stability. The study identifies how repeated scans and grating order influence scattering damage, insertion loss, and the formation regime, then validates device stability beyond 1000 °C through isochronal annealing.
